Why do I have allergies?

I just googled this question and the results are “The exact causes of allergy symptoms are still being investigated. However, it is known that these are due to immune system pathways that lead to allergy-1738191_640inflammation after an encounter with allergenic proteins in the environment. These proteins are often from plant pollens, animal dander, insect venom, or certain foods.” from
fightthecauseofallergy.org/page/why-do-we-have-allergies.

And from https://www.pollen.com/allergy/allergy “Causes of Allergy. An allergy is a disorder of the immune system that causes symptoms, such as sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and a runny nose. Allergens are the stimuli that cause these allergy-related symptoms. … The majority of people that have allergies react to airborne particles, such as dust or pollen.”

It’s a bit humorous to me at times but we see allergy symptoms clear up as we clean up and clear out the body. So, here’s my theory. (I use this for explaining things quite a bit and it seems to work out.)

My Theory

Our bodies are amazing adaptable machines. They also work to give us clues as to what is happening. Clues could be a runny nose, increased blood pressure, cravings, water eyes, heartburn, consitpation or diarrhea. How often do you pay attention to those clues or dismiss them as “getting older” or “everybody has it?” As we continue the assault of our modern, fast-paced, give it to me now lives our bodies may quiet down for a bit. And then, we hit the threshold of the bodies ability to adapt. We get the mother load of symptoms expressed as allergies or what not.

Now What

Well, now we pay attention to the signs and signals that the body is giving us. Most of us will start with some OTC allergy medication and potentially some pain relievers. But we are only masking the symptoms our bodies are presenting to us.

What else is there to do?question-mark-1751217_640

I suggest working with the body to clean it out so that it can function at it’s optimum. Do a detox a few times a year to help the body get out the backlogs. A whole body detox affecting every organ system is quite beneficial. There are a few ways to do this and in our office we utilize a specific 21 day program. Our clients tend to have great results with the program.

What did you do?

I started a Nutrition Response Testing® program in the fall of 2009 and that next spring, noticed I didn’t have near the allergy issues I had before and by the following year I was pretty much healed! I was blown away by the difference as I’ve dealt with allergy issues since I was a little girl and had always just used the allergy meds and sleep to get through that time of year. So, I have spent the past 8 years working with my body to alleviate the build up of toxic materiels and working with it to determine what it is sensitive to and rebuilding the organs that had been damaged.

I am forever grateful to have learned a system that allows me to work with people to help them identify what they are sensitive to so that they can feel their best.

I’ve always been about helping people. Growing up in a small community, I was one of the youngest people to ever help out at our parish picnics. I used to babysit for extended family members frequently. My first “real” job was as a lifeguard. Then as high school went on and it was time to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. The results from the career aptitude test came back with several options but the one I was most drawn to was a pharmacist. They helped people with their medications. They made a wonderful salary and where well respected in the community.

Fast forward to 2009, I wasn’t doing so well. I had chronic neck and back issues. My digestion was a mess and I was experiencing chronic bloating. We also couldn’t get pregnant. I also had frequent headaches. When I went to see the local chiropractor after moving to St. Louis, he FINALLY was able to introduce me to Nutrition Response Testing®. (Let’s just say it took a bit of convincing.)

Then one day on the table the proverbial light bulb went off. “You are healing people!” I spent the next 2 years traveling to Clearwater, Florida to learn everything I could about this incredible system.

The past 7 years have been a journey of healing and helping others find similar wins. Check out the Success Stories page, Facebook, Google and Yelp to read about others who are winning utilizing the same methods that allowed me to get pregnant, maintain an adjustment, relieve chronic back and neck issues and expand my health to heights I did not know where possible.
